Barricade Privacy Policy

Barricade (“we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (“App”) and related services operated by Groupie LLC.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information: Your name, email address, and authentication details (including Apple or Google sign-in, if used).
User Content: Photos, concert logs, journal entries, captions, comments, and related metadata (e.g., event date, artist, venue).
Usage Data: In-app activity, device/OS info, diagnostics, crash logs, and analytics.
Location Data (Optional): If enabled, approximate or precise location for tagging events or suggesting nearby concerts.

We do not collect government IDs, financial data, or health information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
Personalize user experiences and recommendations.
Communicate about updates, support, and security.
Analyze usage to improve performance.
Promote Barricade: We may use publicly visible user content (see Section 3) for promotional purposes such as marketing, social media, and App Store materials.
Default Public Setting: The Service currently operates as a public platform. Any content you submit (including text, images, and event information) may be visible to other users and to the Barricade team. By uploading content, you consent to this public visibility and acknowledge that you are responsible for any personal information you choose to include in your posts. Private-posting options may be introduced in future updates, but at this time, all submitted content should be considered public.

We never sell your personal information.

3. User Content, Permissions, and Public Nature

You retain ownership of your content. By uploading or posting content, you grant Groupie LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (e.g., for formatting), display, and distribute that content in order to:

operate and improve the App;
display it to others consistent with the App’s functionality; and
use publicly visible content for Barricade’s promotional and marketing purposes.

Public by Default

At this stage of Barricade’s development, all content uploaded or created in the App—including concert logs, journals, captions, and photos—is publicly viewable within the Barricade platform.

By creating an account and posting content, you acknowledge and agree that your uploads may be visible to others and may appear in promotional materials.

Private-sharing or privacy-control features will be introduced in future versions; until then, all content should be considered public by default.

If we wish to feature non-public data (e.g., future private journals), we will request explicit consent.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information:

With your direction: According to the App’s default public nature or any sharing features you use.
With Service Providers: (e.g., hosting, analytics, authentication) under strict confidentiality obligations.
For Legal Reasons: When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.

5. Data Retention, Definitions, and Deletion

Definitions:

“Personal Data” means information that can identify you directly or indirectly, such as your name, email, or unique identifiers linked to your account.
“Delete” or “Deletion” means removal of Personal Data from active systems or its anonymization so it can no longer reasonably identify you.

When you delete your account:

We remove or anonymize personal identifiers from our active database within 30 days.
Concert logs, photos, or journal entries may remain in anonymized form (no names, emails, or identifiers) for analytics and system integrity.
Technical backups may persist for up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten during routine cycles.

This approach ensures the App continues functioning correctly while honoring your privacy rights.

6. Security

We use encryption, authentication, and other industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we continually monitor and improve protection measures.

7. Children’s Privacy

Barricade is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we delete it promptly.

8. Your Choices

You can:

Access, edit, or delete profile data in-app.
Revoke device permissions (camera, photos, location).
Request account deletion by emailing groupiemusicteam@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll post updates here and adjust the “Last updated” date; material changes may be announced in-app.
